Pink blossoms and butterflies - VMCdesigns

Pink blossoms and butterflies

This time no Christmas card from me, this time I made a card with pink blossoms and butterflies to give as a pick-me-up or to cheer somebody up card.

At the time of writing this post it’s cold and grey outside the perfect weather to do some writting.

The technique for this week at Hobby Alternatief was to make something using paper weaving, mine ended up as a trellis with flowers in front of it. Fairly easy to make just a lot of work punching out all the little flowers and glueing them on. The base card with the trellis I made ages ago, left it for at that time because I didn’t know how to finish it. Seeing several little flower dies on AliExpress I got the idea to make a blossoms and butterflies on a tree in front of it.

A silver green Christmas - VMCdesigns

A silver green Christmas

By now you all know that with the DT Team from Hobby Alternatief we get a sketch every month to work from, this time we had one as well.
This time I have chosen to make a silver green Christmas card.
I’m still sorry for my short blogposts from the past weeks, I still have to be careful using my left hand and writing two blogposts is to much for my hand at the moment. I will be writing longer posts again when my hand is healed, which I hope won’t be to long. An unusual Christmas card - VMCdesigns

An unusual Christmas card

A few weeks ago I made an unusual Christmas card, I made some “pressed” paper, just to try it out some time. Not the way it was made years ago but in a surprisingly easy way.I like the pressed paper and the pattern in it so much that I turned it into a Christmas card.
One of the DT members liked my card so much and asked me to write a blogpost about it. Sorry for my short blogposts from the past weeks, I have broken one of the middle bones in my left hand and writing two blogposts is to much for my hand at the moment. I will be writing longer posts again when my hand is healed. You can read this post following the link

From vintage tablecloth to ....... - VMCdesigns

From vintage tablecloth to .......

Years ago I had a vintage tablecloth, that had seen better days and was beyond repairs. I had cut it into pieces to keep the little Dutch landscape images it had, with the intention to use them in a project some day. Well that day finally arrived, almost 20 years

One of those images, they where all in Delfts Blauw (blue), had a little windmill on it.
It couldn’t get more Dutch then this.
So I turned the little piece of fabric into a greeting card.
