As I mentioned in my previous post we have been busy in the past few months with chores in and around our home but in between I did manage to be creative. These are all my craft creations from September. I like making the greeting cards and those little paper craft items, and this time I also managed to make a little paper craft item for Christmas. You can see all the images of my work when you follow the link below.
I have been busy in the past few months with fitting in a new Kitchen in our home but in between I did manage to be creative. These are all my makes from August. I like making the greeting cards and those little paper craft items, but this time I only had the chance to make a few greeting cards.
Most of them are for Birthday’s but I also made a few Christmas cards, some Sympathy cards and I even made a card for a friends wedding.
But enough of my rambling at the link below you can see all the photo's of my makes from August.
I can be very short about it, I love using them as starting point but mostly I change directions half way down.
I have made several jewelry pieces with the help of YouTube tutorials and for my paper craft I love using them as a starting point too. I remember the early years when I started beading. There was no YouTube and all the creations I made I had to learn by trail and error.
I discovered it by accident. I saw a you tube a while ago and there was a lady from England making boxes from card stock. But I already told you guys this story in a previous blogpost.
I started with making boxes but slowly also started to make greeting cards. It is nice to give a handmade thank you card with a sale. And it is easy for me now that when I need a greeting card I just take one out of my box, make an enveloppe that matches it and I’m done. 🙂
In this post I want to show you a few of the creations I made with paper for fun. Some I custom made for a jewelry piece I sold or gave as a gift.
For this months blog Carnival from the Jewelry Artisans Community we need to write about projects we like to try this year.
Well that’s a difficult one, because there are so many things I still have to learn and want to learn too. I already started with one of them. Branding my jewelry designs and website. 😀
I always wanted to make my own packaging materials and it never was more then a nice piece of paper and ribbon as a gift wrap.
In December I saw a youtube channel and blog from a lady in England who makes the cutest boxes and envelopes you can imagine.
So I tried to make some of the boxes........................ continue reading
For September the Jewelry Artisans Community challenge was to make something that represents the End of Summer.
I am a tad bit behind with writing my posts about the challenges we have for the Jewelry Artisans Community and I will try to write 2 post in this week. For september we reveived the image above as a guideline to create a jewelry piece.
I think we all succeeded very well, and even Caroline from the Crafty Chimp had some time to join us that month.
I will no longer keep you in suspense, here are all .....(continue reading at the link below)
This post is for the blog carnival at the Jewelry Artisans Community and theme this month is: "You know you are a beader ………….. " There are many things pointing you in that direction, for me it’s: Waking up in the middle of the night because I have […] You know you are a beader ...........
For October we were supposed to write an article for the monthly blog carnival. We completely forgot to choose a theme for this months entry and we just remembered it when the month was good as over. I forgot about the blog hop because I was working on the photo’s for
my galleries and I had a show on the 16th, so in the week before I was
sorting out all the pieces I wanted to bring and getting ready for the
show. In the week after ................. You can continue reading at the link below. JAC - October Blog Carnival
This post is for the blog carnival (blog hop) at theJewelry Artisans Communityand it’s all about tools, the ones I have, the ones I use a lot, the ones I made myself or my hubby and those that are still on my wishlist.
I have a lot of tools that I bought and I still haven’t used them. I bought a few drawplates years ago to draw wire trough to get different shaped wires. I think I used them once or twice. So far I counted 3 bench vises, tons of pliers, a jewelers saw, a loom, a torch and so on.
